From 24 July, the use of face coverings in shops will be mandatory in England. Individuals will be required to cover their nose and mouth or face a £100 fine. This fine will be reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days. Exemptions to the incoming rule have been made for children under the age of 11, individuals with certain disabilities and those with breathing problems.
