The CPS have released an essay outlining the importance of independence within the CPS during 2020 and beyond. Drawing on experiences in the past six months, Max Hill QC, Director of Public Prosecutions considers, amongst other things, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on how the CPS operates and the review by the CPS of all charges bought under the Coronavirus Act and Health Protection Regulations.
