The Prison and Probation Ombudsman ("PPO") has confirmed that it will continue to operate on a remote basis following the closure of its office building in March. The body is still investigating all deaths in prisons but by utilising interviews by video or phone. In a press release on 21 April, the PPO also shared its revised complaints procedure for the COVID-19 period.
