On 8 April 2020 the Parole Board published a number of changes to victims’ engagement during the COVID-19 situation. These include arrangements for the victims (who were due to attend a parole hearing) to read out their victim personal statement via Skype to the parole panel, inviting the prisoner's legal representative and a representative of the Secretary of State to attend. It also requested victims to be supported and their home backgrounds to be non-identifiable (in respect of location and individuals).
