Short Update: Trial International launches report showing consequences of COVID-19 on the justice system in the global south

Trial International prepared a report to show the various consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in different countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nepal, Mexico, The Gambia, Burundi, and DRC. 

The report offers an overview of the countries’ sanitary and socioeconomic situation in face of the virus. It also looks at three key aspects of international justice affected by the pandemic: 1) the increased threat of human rights violations; 2) crime reporting and investigations; 3) and the conduct of legal proceedings.
