Short Update: More than 20,000 breaches of COVID-19 lockdown measures observed in Brussels

FT Admin - June 5, 2020 - COVID-19 Updates, New criminal offences

More than 20,000 breaches of containment measures were observed in two months in Brussels. Bertrand de Buisseret, president of the sanctioning civil servants in Brussels, underlined that for the 19 municipalities, 15,000 were linked to a municipal administrative sanction. Moreover, violations of the containment measures were not always clearly defined and not all should have been subject to a fine.
