Short Update: Maximum lockdown penalties rise to £1,920 in Wales

The Welsh government has confirmed that the maximum penalty in Wales for breaking lockdown rules will increase to £1,920. The initial penalty will remain fixed at £60 but will now double (up to the maximum £1,920) for each successive offence. These amended penalty arrangements will come into force on Friday 22nd May, in advance of the bank holiday weekend.
