Short Update: Greek laws impose criminal sanctions for the violation of the government’s measures against COVID-19

The Greek government has implemented certain measures against the COVID-19 pandemic by virtue of an act of legislative content dated 25.2.2020 (in Greek). The measures include -indicatively- the temporary close-down of health-regulated establishments and places of social gatherings and provide for a maximum sentence of 2 years imprisonment for their violation, according to Article 1 para. 6 of the aforementioned act of legislative content.
