Short Update: Greece restricts prison access while moving to grant early release

Tensions are on the rise in Greek prisons as restrictions have been placed on what can be brought in and visiting hours have been reduced. Meanwhile, it is widely rumoured that the government will grant early release to some prisoners. This is said to include prisoners who have less than a year to serve, those serving less than five years, and elderly prisoners who have served 5 percent of their sentences.
