Short Update: Further guidance for the police in England on enforcing lockdown laws

FairTrialsAdmin - April 28, 2020 - COVID-19 Updates, Extended police powers, New criminal offences

The NPCC and College of Policing released guidance to officers on what constitutes a "reasonable excuse" (and the type of behaviour which is not likely to be a reasonable excuse) to go outdoors during the pandemic. It includes guidance on shopping for necessities, exercise, going to work, and other miscellaneous reasons for going outside. This adds to their other resources on policing guidelines during coronavirus.
