Whilst there are concerns over the effectiveness of remote justice in France, there are also concerns over the discretionary power Courts have to resort to electronic means, or not. Lawyers are reporting that some courts simply refuse to use electronic means, and thus offer no alternative to lawyers who cannot physically come to defend their clients (because of the geographical distance, personal circumstances or health issues).
