Short Update: EU Parliament committee to consider how states have undermined the rule of law in their response to coronavirus

The European Parliament will be discussing measures to support the judiciary as well as recent initiatives by Member States to supposedly combat coronavirus which risk undermining the rule of law. 

The Legal Affairs Committee will consider the functioning of the European justice system, working conditions in legal institutions, and recent initiatives in certain member states that may undermine the judiciary and pose a threat to the rule of law, and will hear from the EU Justice Commissioner.
