Short Update: Detained defendants must stay in solitary confinement for 15 days after hearings in Germany

In some German prisons, defendants must spend two weeks in solitary confinement after each hearing in order to keep the risk of infection in prison to a minimum. This has made detention condition even harder for those who attend hearings and/or their trial (see FAZ press article in German).
