Short Update: Czech Republic prosecutors offices returning to normal functioning

FairTrialsAdmin - May 19, 2020 - COVID-19 Updates, Delayed or accelerated proceedings, Court closures

Similarly to the courts, the prosecutors' offices are slowly returning to normal functioning while adopting increased hygiene standards based on the Emergency Measure. The office hours may still be reduced and the use of the phone or electronic means of communication is still highly recommended.

The prosecutors' attendance to the courts is being restored and it can be expected that prosecutors will now cover also "non-emergency" hearings (as opposed to attending only hearings regarding detention or cases where delays may cause frustration of the criminal proceedings such as cases where the statute of limitation may otherwise lapse).
