Short Update: CPS announced findings from the latest review of completed prosecutions under the Coronavirus legislation

On 14 August 2020, the Crown Prosecution Service ("CPS") announced findings from its review of completed prosecutions under the Coronavirus legislation. It reported that of the 162 cases charged under the Health Protection Regulations, 21 cases were incorrectly charged, and that all 32 cases charged under the Coronavirus Act were incorrectly charged.  

Unlike previous monthly updates, the CPS did not detail the reasons for the incorrect charges.
