Short Update: Courts open for face-to-face hearings in England and Wales

FT Admin - June 8, 2020 - COVID-19 Updates, Court closures, Remote Justice

More face-to-face hearings will be held as court and tribunal buildings reopen across England and Wales.

159 HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) locations have remained open throughout the pandemic and a further nine have opened in the last few weeks. To keep the criminal justice system functioning during the pandemic, courts also significantly increased the use of video and audio technology.
