Development Officer – London and/or homeworking
Fair Trials is an international non-governmental organization, working in the UK, Americas, and Europe. We work to advance the global fight for fairness, justice and equality in criminal justice systems by exposing emerging threats, strengthening diverse and resilient reform movements, and fighting for justice on the global stage. We are looking for an ambitious individual with experience of trusts and foundations fundraising to join Fair Trials’ Development Team.
The Development Officer will have the following main areas of responsibility:
- Managing and developing part of Fair Trials’ portfolio of trust and foundation donors;
- Contributing to the achievement of Fair Trials’ fundraising strategy; and
- Being a passionate and compelling advocate of Fair Trials’ work.

Interns and externs – Washington DC
We welcome applications from students who would like to join Fair Trials as an intern or extern. The Americas division of Fair Trials covers work in the United States and Latin America. Please indicate in your application which geographic area you would like to focus on (the US or Latin America). If your preference is to focus on our work in Latin America, please note that we are specifically seeking applicants who speak fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese. English fluency is not required but welcomed.
Interns will be based in our Americas office in Washington DC or choose to work remotely from the US or Latin America. We do not accept any unpaid interns. You must receive funding for an internship (through your school or another public interest funding source) or apply for school credit to extern with Fair Trials.
