Stephanie Classmann

Stephanie supports Fair Trials across all research, advocacy and strategic litigation efforts, advising in particular on emerging issues around the use of AI and other advanced technologies as well as the criminalisation of human rights defenders. She joined the team on a consulting basis after spending time at the European Commission.

Having started her career in academia, Stephanie brings over a decade of experience working at the intersection of criminal justice, public policy and political theory. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is part of an extensive network of criminal justice scholars spanning the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Europe.
