Simona Di Dio

Simona drives the organisation’s strategic advocacy across Europe, working at the intersection of criminal justice reform, policy engagement, and community participation. She also manages LEAP and EIPAC, networks connecting defence lawyers, criminal justice practitioners, and people with lived experience of the justice system.

With over a decade of experience across Europe, Simona brings together legal expertise, human rights education, and cross-sector coalition building. An Italian-qualified lawyer and trained human rights educator certified by the Council of Europe, she has built her practice around connecting frontline expertise with European policy processes, from her years as a Board member of Amnesty International Italy to her current leadership at Fair Trials.
