Ángela Rodríguez

Ángela leads communications at Fair Trials, where she develops and delivers communication strategies to advance the organisation’s work. She is a communications and media professional with more than 16 years of experience across journalism, international media organisations, and the non-profit sector, specialising in strategic communications, project and event management, and storytelling for social impact.

Before joining Fair Trials, Ángela worked as Project and Event Manager at the European Journalism Centre (EJC) and WAN-IFRA (World Association of News Publishers), leading international and European programmes and events for media professionals and working on project initiatives focused on journalism, technology, and public interest media. She also worked as Photo Editor for the Global Team at Thomson Reuters. Her broader experience spans journalism, strategic communications, photography, video and podcast production, media business strategy, and international project management across Europe, with a focus on democracy, human rights, and social impact.
