On 7 July 2020, the judiciary updated the Note of Listing in Magistrates' Courts – COVID-19, which was originally published on 14 April 2020.
The original Note divided the work at Magistrates' Courts into three categories: Priorities 1, 2 and 3. Priority 1 work should be considered for listing first. If there is no suitable Priority 1 work, Priority 2 should next be considered, then Priority 3.
The update on 7 July 2020 expanded the scope of Priority 2 work, to include certain breaches of Community Orders, Suspended Sentences Orders, or Post Supervision Orders.
