Alisha Tomovic
Legal and Policy Officer
Alisha works on access to counsel in police custody, plea bargaining, and the use of artificial intelligence and automated decision-making in the criminal legal system. She was previously Chief Program Officer at San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project, providing alternatives to criminal legal system fines and fees, alternatives to criminal prosecution, and non-monetary alternatives to pre-trial detention.
Alisha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California in Santa Cruz, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, and a Juris Doctor from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of the Law).
